Diagnosis: Shell slender, tapering toward the pseudostome, laterally compressed, and entirely hyaline. Pseudostome elliptical, smooth-edged, and not occupying the entire anterior end. Scales reach the margin of the pseudostome; they are elongated‑oval and appear hexagonal due to superimposition. The nucleus contains a centrally located nucleolus. The plasma is zoned. Pseudopodia are filopodia.
Dimensions: Length 39–41 μm; width 25–26 μm; thickness 17–18 μm.
Ecology: Regular in soils of beech and pine forests.
Distribution: Europe.
