Difflugia molesta Penard, 1902
Diagnosis: Shell oblong-ovate, expanding gradually from the pseudostome to the fundus. Covered with a mixture of mineral grains and cusps of diatoms. The surface is rough. Pseudostome round, sometimes irregularly shaped. Wider than the similar type of D. bryophila. Usually with two nuclei, spherical, 15 µm, with central nucleolus.
Dimensions: Penard (1902): Shell length 120-125 µm.
Habitat: Freshwater. Switzerland.
