Difflugia petricola Cash, 1909

Diagnosis: Shell pyriform, with a short neck (1/6 length), clearly delimited from the fundus. Rough surface. The pseudostome is round. Wider and shorter than D. oblonga.

Dimensions, Cash (1909): Shell length 96-151 µm, shell width 61-99 µm, diameter of the pseudostome 20-36 µm.

Habitat: Freshwater.
