Cryptodifflugia valida  Playfair, 1917

Diagnosis: Shell large, ovoid, circular in transverse section; lateral sides gradually converging towards an aperture; aperture circular and rather broad, there is a well developed thickening around an aperture.

Dimensions: Shell length 55 μm, shell width 40 μm, aperture diameter 15 μm.

Ecology and distribution. Freshwater ponds, bogs. Australia, Chile.
