Diagnosis: Shell large, not fully hemispherical, in lateral view with broadly rounded sides. Shell greyish, covered with rough mineral particles, dorsal region sometimes with some larger particles. Ventral site with a broad funnel-like invagination, covered with much smaller mineral grains than the outer part of the test. Aperture circular.
Dimensions: According to Bartos (1963): Shell diameter up to 200 µm; height 100 µm; aperture 50 µm; height of the invagination 29—30 µm.
Ecology: Soil, mosses.
Geographical distribution: Java, Indonesia.
