Diagnosis: The shell shape is the same as with the typical species. It differs by the irregular aperture which is in the same plane as the ventral side. The edge of the pseudostome is slightly bend inwardly. Color brown, test covered with relatively thin quarz particles.

Dimensions: According to Stepanek (1967): Shell diameter 56 µm, height 35 µm, aperture 12 µm.

Ecology: Freshwater.

Geographical distribution: Europe.
