Euglypha aspera Penard, 1899

Diagnosis: Shell elongate-ovate. Anterior margin of the ostial scales triangular in shape, the lateral sides of which are covered with small teeth. Anterior margin of the parietal scales is flat, bearing a rounded and shallow notch, posterior margin with a raised pointed thickening in the form of a rib.

Dimensions: Shell length 134—165 µm, width 83 µm.

Ecology: Soils, fresh water.
