Diagnosis: Shell flattened in profile, gradually narrowing towards the elliptical aperture, surrounded by 8-10 not always equally pointed scales, often of irregular shape, without additional teeth. Shell covered with elliptical scales.

Dimensions: Shell length 23—49 µm; width 15—36 µm; aperture diameter 6.5—10.0 µm.

Ecology: Moist green mosses, soil.
