Euglypha scutigera  Penard, 1911

Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, without spines, aperture surrounded by 2 rows of scales, 10-12 in a row with small teeth. Body scales ovoid, with a papillary protrusion on the anterior edge.

Dimensions: Shell length 75—90 µm, diameter 46—51 µm, aperture diameter 14—20 µm, scale size 8—12 µm.

Ecology: Fresh water, Sphagnum, damp green mosses.
