Diagnosis: Shell compressed, oval; differing from the typical form by having a shell width slightly exceeding its length. Shell surface smooth, lacking mineral inclusions.

Dimensions: Shell length 16–19 μm; shell width 18–21 μm.

Ecology: On aquatic plants and in wetlands.

Distribution: Australia.
