Shell c. 85 µm long
Unidentified amoeboid
I found this curious amoeboid in a sample from a garden pond in Wellington, Florida. It’s curious because of the granules in the filopodia. The shell resembles a Pseudodifflugia species and the granular filopodia an Allogromia, but there is no whirling cytoplasm, nor a rolling nucleus as is typical for Allogromia. Inside the shell there is a broad band of dark granules as is characteristic for Chlamydophrys species.

Remarkable: granules in the the filopodia!
