Diagnosis: Shell broadly ovoid, compressed, steel‑blue in colour; external wall considerably thickened, rough, and winged. Aperture terminal, bordered internally by a thicker wall. Compared to A. cyclostoma, the entire shell is internally bordered by a markedly thicker wall, and the external wall is very thick, rough, and winged, making the species morphologically quite distinct from A. cyclostoma.
Dimensions: According to Chattopadhyay & Das (2003): shell length 178–188 µm; width 128–135 µm.
Ecology: Rock moss.
Geographical distribution: Sairep, Lunglei District, Mizoram, India.
