Arcella jeanneli  Virieux, 1913

Diagnosis: Shell sub-hemispherical or urceolate, with somewhat thickened wall toward the edges on the ventral side. Very regular hexagonal pattern. Pseudostome slightly invaginated, circular with smooth border.

Dimensions: According to Virieux (1913): Shell diameter 70—95 µm; height 84 µm; aperture 35—46 µm.

Habitat: Freshwater. On submerged plants.

Geographical distribution: Lake Victoria, Africa.
