Diagnosis: Shell minute, ovate, circular in cross‑section, with a rounded fundus; sides converging toward a very narrow base. Aperture very narrow, with a thickened rim or sometimes a very narrow but distinct collar. Membrane thick, smooth, and inclined to be rufescent. Shell flask‑shaped, markedly narrowing toward the anterior end.
Dimensions: Length 10–13 µm; breadth 8–9 µm.
