Basionym: Difflugia oblonga var. incondita Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1958

Diagnosis: Shell elongate-oval or ovoid-pyriform, with convex sides tapering toward the relatively narrow aperture.

Dimensions: Gauthier-Lièvre and Thomas (1958): Shell length 195-245 µm; width 80-83 µm; aperture 35-40 µm.

Ecology: Freshwater. Marshes, lakes.

Geographical distribution: Africa: Morocco, Senegal, Central Congo.

As a species-group name, it is simultaneously established at both species and subspecies rank under the Principle of Coordination (Art. 46.1), with the same author, date, and name-bearing type. Accordingly, when treated at species rank, the correct name is Difflugia incondita Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1958.
