Junior synonym of Difflugia acuminata Ehrenberg, 1930

Diagnosis: Test elongate pyriform, acuminate, with a spine of variable size and blunt or sharp. Test covered with al kind of xenosomes. Aperture circular. Test resembles those of D. acuminate and D. ventricosa, but much larger.

Dimensions: Length 300-350 µm, width 115-150, pseudostome 48-80 µm.

Ecology: Freshwater. Congo, Africa.
