Genus Leptochlamys  West, 1901

Diagnosis: Shell ovoid, cross-section circular, truncated; clear. Pseudostome terminal, round, with Short collar. Size: 48 to 55 µm. Nucleus ovular, oval, nucleoli concentrated below nuclear membrane.
Type species: Leptochlamys ampullacea West, 1901.
Monospecific.

Ecology: Herbivorous. Freshwater (rare!).
