Genus Proplagiopyxis Schönborn, 1964

Diagnosis: Shell more or less circular in dorsal view, in lateral view with two convex sides with a slight slope to the aperture. Shell brown, xenosomes lacking or rare. Aperture eccentric and circular without invagination.

Diagnosis: As for the genus.

Dimensions: Diameter 60 µm; height 25 µm; aperture 12 µm.

Ecology: Forest soil near Lake Stechlin, Germany.
