Centropyxis latior  Bartos, 1963

Diagnosis: Shell relatively large, gray colored, wider than long (hence the name), made of larger mineral fragments, a few larger mineral pieces scattered on the surface. Edge of the broad oval aperture formed from small, pointed mineral particles. Majority of the edge fragments run into the aperture in the form of small, not equally large, teeth. Pseudostome approached to the anterior edge of the shell, its longer axis lying in the shorter axis of the shell.

Dimensions: Length 95 µm, width 104 µm, aperture 60 µm wide and 54 µm long.

Habitat: Freshwater. Central Europe.
