Centropyxis transversa Bartos, 1963
Diagnosis: Shell made of coarser mineral splinters, this building material is much larger on the dorsal side and especially at the rear end of the shell. The surface of the deeply sunken shell opening is covered with much finer material. The shell is noticeably elongated oval in the transverse direction, in which the oval shell opening is also located. The longer axis of the shell opening lies in the transverse axis of the shell. The shell is very high at the back.
Dimensions: Length 100 µm long, width 67 µm. Aperture 34 x 17 µm. Front edge of the apertures 20 µm from the front edge of the shell. Height of the shell at the thickest point 42-45 µm.
Ecology: Mosses.
Geographical distribution: Java, Indonesia.
