Plagiopyxis bicamera Coûteaux, 1978

Diagnosis: Shell elongated, in ventral view elliptical, dorso-ventrally compressed, colorless or yellowish, with a cryptostome with visor. Visor clearly separated from the ventral side just like Plagiopyxis callida. In ventral view, the pseudostome is a narrow, straight, not very visible cleft. The test is composed of thin, irregular platelets embedded in a clear cement

Dimensions: Length (n=7) 59,4 à 78 µm (average 64.8 µm); width 36.0-48.8 µm (av. 39.6 µm).

Ecology: Soil, savanna. Ivory Coast, Africa. Coûteaux found 90.000 living specimens per m2 soil.
