Plagiopyxis uncinata Bonnet, 1974

Diagnosis: Simple cryptostome, distinctly elliptical in dorsal view (major axis/minor axis ratio close to 1.8). In lateral view, test with very well individualized ventral sole, flat except at the level of the ventral lip where it forms a very slight invagination. Strongly prominent dorsal lip, presenting the aspect of a hook and covering only very little the ventral lip.

Dimensions: Length 57-80 µm; width 36-39 µm; dorso-ventral (height) 25-28 µm.

Ecology: Soil. Soils rich with organic material.
