Plagiopyxis minuta var.  phanerostoma Bonnet, 1959

Diagnosis: The pseudostome is never covered by the fold of the dorsal membrane. There is, however, a difference in level of the order of 5 µm between the two lips. The dorsal lip has, as in the type, an often irregular contour. Very clear covering, formed of amorphous siliceous elements, notably larger on the ventral side than on the dorsal side.

Dimensions: Diameter 50 µm; width 45 µm, height 25 µm.

Ecology: Soil.
